As AI systems become more conversational and personalized, users increasingly interact with them in emotionally intimate or high-stakes contexts. Emerging concerns include para-social attachment, substitution of real-world relationships, and reliance on AI for sensitive decision-making. These patterns highlight the need to examine the psychological, social, and ethical implications of prolonged AI engagement.

Our task is to redefine the current prototype’s art direction and narrative framework to reflect these themes. Rather than presenting AI as a purely helpful or neutral tool, the redesigned experience will explore the ambiguity of human–AI relationships. Through visual design, character portrayal, and environmental storytelling, the prototype will emphasize the gradual development of trust, dependency, and emotional attachment between users and AI systems.
